7.00am:
I start the day at Fitness First in St Leonards with other E-Webbers like both Dan’s, Kiri, Loz and a few others from the work crew that like to pop in sometimes.
8:15am:
I get to the office and do some socialising with everyone over breakfast in the rec room
8:30am:
The workday officially starts with a 30 minute team meeting with the rest of the sales department. This is run by Jeff, our head of department, and amidst lots of banter and coffee, we understand how we’re going as a team. At 9am, Jeff sets us loose!
9:00am:
I start with my top priorities, which is what we call ‘lead generation’. This virtually means finding and introducing myself to new businesses
11:00am:
I start my keyword research in order to set up an SEO campaign for current sign-up businesses. This is great because I go from being ‘the guy from E-Web’ to a ‘business partner’.
12:30pm:
Handle all inbound enquiries from our own SEO rankings and PPC campaigns. Awesome because by being reactive rather than proactive, I never know what I might stumble upon.
1:00pm:
E-Web’s official lunch hour! I get food from various outlets around St Leonards – my favourite is a Japanese place about a block down. When I come back to the office, it’s time to relax for the rest of the hour in the rec room, catching up with everyone over the lunch table, ping pong and play station 3.
2:00pm:
After lunch, my afternoons are taken up with flipchart presentations with clients in person. Sometimes they come to our office and we meet in the board room, and at other times I go out in our company smart car to meet with them. It’s always fun to travel out, because I get to meet their staff, see their culture and find out how they operate.
5:00pm:
‘Think Tank’ meeting back at the office. I meet in the rec room with fellow E-Webbers across all departments, as well as our CEO Gary. We discuss everything from company
procedures to personal happiness to business motivation, usually over a big bag of chips, chocolate or minties.
6:00pm:
I finish off the day with a review with myself and Jeff to reflect on how the day has gone and what things I have learnt and can carry over
Favourite part of HSF:
The people that make HSF what it is, it’s instilled in everyone and makes the day go by so much easier.
Greatest achievement at E-Web:
A client of mine, Nutrition Warehouse – their campaign is shooting through the roof and this wouldn’t have succeeded without the team work we’ve had at E-Web. It’s a client I can be even happier about on a personal level because he’s such a great guy and I have great rapport with him too.
