8:00am:
I catch the bus to work, and get a coffee on the way in
8:30am:
Do a quick scan for any important emails when I arrive, then escape downstairs for a ciggy with Dan or Dave
9:00am:
I start checking emails in detail, then plan for the rest of my day. At this time of morning I sometimes sit in on the programmers’ meeting for info-sharing
10:00am:
I work on updating clients’ budgets, which involves going through the campaign’s tasks and working to optimise the client’s revenue
12:00pm:
I take my research hour. Usually this involves going through blogs and getting myself up to date with the industry then sharing anything interesting I find out with Roberto and Eling, my PPC partners in crime
1:00pm:
I set off to the forum with my fellow E-Webbers to grab some food, then crowd around the lunch table in the rec room. I’m also a common contestant in the Street Fighter 2 lunch tournament, but still working my way up the ranks on this one…
2:00pm:
I keep working on some client campaigns, and occasionally I might have a meeting with clients in person, or may need to touch base with a campaign manager.
3:30pm:
Get on the phones with Google and clients
4:00pm:
Twice a week, I get to spend the rest of the day on an independent project. This might be something like a personal six month plan, or Facebook research for sponsored links
Favourite thing about HSF:
Being able to enjoy coming to work every day. Even when it’s busy and stressful, it never reaches the same level it would reach if we didn’t have the culture we do
Biggest achievement at E-Web:
I didn’t know much about PPC when I started, but the amount I know now makes me feel so much more proficient and really proud of myself for how far I’ve come
