8:30am:
Get into the office and stand in front of the proggie area, calling out ‘Good Morning!!!’ in an annoyingly cheery morning tone.
9:00am:
I set up for the day, checking my emails and planning out my time and putting together my Winamp tunes selection for the day. My headphones go in, I enter concentration mode and usually can’t hear anyone till they’re standing over me, which results in a few heart attacks on my part during the day.
09:30am:
I start working with my clients’ sites, and this takes up a good portion of my morning. This involves dissecting the site and finding out what I can add/change in order to help it rank first. I also check Google Analytics to check the site’s ranking and traffic against the particular client’s goals and objectives.
12:30pm:
Do an email check before lunch, which usually involves about ‘ten million’ emails – a third of these are HSF-focussed, a third is from other SEO programmers sharing information, and the rest is made up of other miscellaneous important stuff.
1:00pm:
I head to the forum to get food pronto before I rush back to the rec room to watch and play video games. I’m usually the one in the corner getting so into it that I end up screaming and jumping up and down at the screen, whether I’m part of that round or not.
2:00pm:
Spend an hour with Irene, who is mentoring me on time management and more effective and stress-free work practises. She also likes to feed me purple mentos when I’m at her desk.
3:00pm:
I go back to working on my client’s sites, and spend some extra time on a select few that I need to follow more closely that month.
5:00pm:
Take my research hour – go back over the programmers’ info sharing emails, read some articles and get up to date in the SEO industry or take on a personal development project.
Favourite thing about HSF:
Pretty simple – that it brings happiness, success and fun.
Greatest achievement at E-Web:
I have gotten one of my clients businesses to grow so much that she couldn’t keep up with all her new online enquiries, and needed extra staff. This was way beyond what she had originally anticipated or expected we could do for her in terms of helping her business grow. It was awesome!
